1. Department of Chemistry started with 6 Units at U.G. level in 1990. We have started the M.Sc programme in the year 2016-17 in the subject of Organic Chemistry. In the current academic year 245 students are admitted in the department of chemistry. Department of Chemistry is having well-furnished separate laboratories in the subject of Physical, Analytical, Organic and Inorganic chemistry. Chemistry department has conducted syllabus workshop in the academic year 2016-17, 2017-18 and 2018-19 for F.Y.B.Sc, M.Sc Sem I & II and T.Y.B.Sc in the chemistry subject. We have given project work on various topics to the M.Sc part II students. In the current academic year 40 students are involved in this activity. We have extended our services to the society by analysing water sample from different places of Sudhagad Taluka. The result of the department is outstanding. Faculty members are involved in the remedial coaching program. We are conducted extra lectures for the third year students. Our department has outstanding contribution in the research work .
2. Dr Anjali Puranik was awarded Gold medal at the State level Avishkar research convention programme. Our student Mr. Salil Puranik awarded the gold medal at the Avishkar research convention. In the last five academic year faculty members has published 20 research papers in various international and National Journal. Dr. M.A. Badgujar has recognized as a Ph.D research guide of University of Mumbai. Chemistry department is running short term courses in Communication skill in English and Water testing quality.
