National Service Scheme: ” NOT ME BUT YOU”

The college is having very active National Service Scheme Unit. Total strength allocated to our college for N.S.S. is 300.Leadership development, overall personality development of the student, skill development, work for the society, social service are the main objectives of this scheme. A student can be enrolled in N.S.S. in the second year of the college. Student should complete 240 work hours in the community and attend one seven days special residential camp during two years. Such students will get benefit of 10 grace marks and a volunteership certificate.Interested students should contact the N.S.S. Program Officer for their enrollment in N.S.S.

The National Service Scheme (NSS) is a Central Sector Scheme of Ministry of Youth Affairs & Sports, Government of India, and NSS cell, Higher and technical education, Govt. of Maharashtra. It provides opportunity to the students to take part in various government led community service activities & programmes. The sole aim of the NSS is to provide hands on experience and development of personality of students through community service. NSS was formally launched on 24th September 1969, the birth centenary year of the Father of the Nation. Therefore, 24 September is celebrated every year as NSS Day with appropriate programmes and activities.
