Principal’s Message

The Department of Lifelong Learning and Extension [DLLE] (known earlier as Department of Adult and Continuing Education and Extension) established on October 12, in the Year 1978 and has been recognized as a statutory Department of the University of Mumbai since 1994 to promote a meaningful and sustained rapport between the Universities and the community. The DLLE seeks to facilitate the sensitization of students to socio-cultural realities. Degree College Students take up extension work projects related to social issues, for which they are awarded 10 additional grace marks in their final examinations UG and PG (Semester II, IV and VI) on successful completion of 120/240 hours of work, and the submission of the project report in time.

Our college DLLE unit started in 2009-2010 with 42 students having three different projects first Status of Women in society (SWS) second industrial orientation program (IOP) and third national institute for open study (NIOS). As per University guideline this Department is self-finance department Registration fee collected from every student 200 rupees and send 100 rupees per students to Finance and Account Officer University of Mumbai and 100/- rupees for community, college and University level activity as well as Extension Work Teachers remuneration.

The Department of Lifelong learning & Extension Organize Regular Activities as per Mumbai University Rules and Regulation and also Involved in yearly festival UDAAN. In current year our college organizes UDAAN Festival 2023 and also wins four prizes in various events. I am proudly say that our college this unit works excellent work.
